The Sir William Dobell Memorial Association

For 52 years Dobell House has been successfully managed by Volunteer Committee Members. Each year at the AGM, a new committee is voted for.  The current committee is:

Karen Smyth – Committee Member & Roster Coordinator

Mission Statement 

Dobell House is an important and unique icon in Australian art and culture. Our mission is to preserve the property and contents of Dobell House, foster, by way of Dobell House, a better understanding of the life and work of Sir William Dobell in the wider community and offer those with a special interest in Sir William Dobell and his art, a true and meaningful resource and context for appreciation and understanding. 

 
Vision Statement 
 
Our vision for Dobell House is to secure and manage the property to reflect its true character at the time of Dobell’s death in 1970, develop collections and archives which support our Mission Statement and encourage free access to the substance of Dobell’s genius and the richness of his art.
